Hey everyone, welcome back to my channel. I love to look into the history of holidays and why we celebrate them. Since we’re quickly approaching Thanksgiving here in the U.S.A, I thought it would be fun to see why we celebrate this holiday and where it actually originated from. Thanksgiving has a long history that dates back before the Pilgrims came to America in 1621. The myth is that the first Thanksgiving happened when the Pilgrims and Native Americans had a harvest festival in New Plymouth; however, the truth is that Thanksgiving was not mentioned once in the writings we have of this event.
