In 2007 I got my second tattoo, which was a cross. I had always wanted a cross to signify an essential chapter in my young life. I felt like faith in a higher power got me through a rough childhood. The older I got, and the more I studied the historical Jesus, I began to feel uncomfortable having a killing tool on me. I felt like it was the same as having a guillotine tattooed on my arm. I also felt like it allowed people to label me as something I may not be. After meeting with a tattoo artist, I was able to find the perfect coverup! As always, I hope you’re having a beautiful day.
